Believing in things are meant to be

I believe in fate and everything is meant to be but I dont know why?

Do you believe in things happen for a reason?

If so whats the reason they happen and happen when they do?

Accepting what happens is healthy, but things being "meant to be" - no, I don't believe that at all.

I don’t believe that every single thing is meant to be, there are some very unfair things in life and I think it would be unfair to assume cruelty is a part of a bigger plan

But I do believe in making the most of opportunity and that sometimes things that don’t happen work out all the better for it

I also believe in the general pattern of life continuing in the right direction

I agree with Shirley.

I agree with previous posters. Sometimes life is far too cruel and unfair to believe things are meant to be, and this can be an unkind perspective to someone going through a really difficult time. That said, I do believe in trying to overcome difficulty in life and make the best of things.

We tend to believe in fate when things go well. Interesting we still refer back to luck and the fates which is an Ancient Greek belief system

Allpenguinsarepingus · 30/01/2022 07:27

Nope and I find it really hard to understand why some people do.
Are you good at maths OP? I always imagine people who believe things happen for a reason must find probability in particular difficult. But I could be wrong about that. It would make an interesting survey.
