AIBU about DH working hours/time with kids

DH has two half days in the work week. These are both mornings off, which obviously he likes because he gets the morning to himself. The alternative would be working 8am - 1pm ish, & having the afternoon off…

Now, especially as the kids get older & are doing their own things at weekends more with their own activities, he feels that he barely sees them. I’ve pointed out to him that if one of his mornings off was an afternoon off, he would see more of the kids on those days - he gets home about 7pm from work otherwise. This to me feels fairer than him wanting to limit what the kids can do in order to have family time at the weekend.

AIBU? He does a busy stressful job & the downtime during the week is really important to him.

Do kids want to hang out with their dad after school?

The younger ones would… and he would be at home for supper which we generally eat without him during the week.

Well does he want to do that? If he doesn't then I'd point out that he can't be that bothered tbh!
