To think it’s bullshit that all these job interviews have been cancelled?

Brother. Not worked for years. Claims benefits. Makes out he really wants a job and applies for many. Gets a fair few interviews.

In the past few months he’s told my mum that many of these interviews have been cancelled with no further action.

One of these was McDonald’s (they apparently emailed him the night before to say it was cancelled due to staff shortage). This has happened at least 10 times now, it gets to the night before the interview and suddenly he declares the interview has been cancelled. No further appointment made.

I don’t believe it. I can’t understand how his benefits havnt been cut! He’s walked out of two jobs after just a week of working there.

I know the general comment will be “it’s none of your business” but he’s taking the piss, getting my parents to buy his groceries and clothes saying he’s has no money.

My mum has always believed these cancelled interviews but now she’s starting to think something doesn’t seem right.

Is he bullshitting and just not turning up/calling sick? If so how is he getting away with it??

DSis has a business. She has lots of people lined up for interviews who never actually attend because they only have to say they have an interview but didn’t get the job for their benefits to be paid. No one ever checks with her if they actually turned up or not.

That said, with so many omicron cases, it is possible that businesses can’t spare the staff to take half a morning interviewing several candidates because they need them to actually cover shifts.

Lies, maybe it happened once and he latched on to that being the reason he is unemployed.

Of course he’s fibbing 😂
