Posting here for traffic sorry

DS had 12 month immunisations yesterday afternoon and is struggling. This redness is getting bigger, normal? Or should I seek advice? Ty

My daughter didn’t have that but it might be fairly normal.

You can click into each jab here to see the common side effects: www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/nhs-vaccinations-and-when-to-have-them/

NHS 24 if you’re not sure?

At least one of the jabs has redness and swelling listed as a side effect

My daughter had this (but bigger). Redness resolved in just over 24 hours but there is still a small lump there a week later. Looked much worse than it actually was
I posted exactly the same as you but no one replied 😢

One of mine was in a research study that meant we had to record everything after jabs and one of the things in our pack was a tape measure to measure swelling/redness. So I think it is fairly normal. But still it does look quite large bless him so I would seek medical advice just to be on the safe side, especially as you say it’s getting larger.

Mine didn’t have this after the 12 month jabs but in sure they said it could happen. I vaguely remember them saying if it’s bigger than a 50p then to seek medical advice
