6 year old birthday party

26 in the class.... 12 we can afford to invite (2 spaces taken up by older siblings of other invitees) so will be 7 from DDs class including her... 6 year old birthday party..... AIBU? I dont know the etiquette!! I let the jury decide! 😊

I think we had 12 for DD’s 6th birthday party, 5 were friends from outside school, DD and then 6 from her class.

Worked perfectly.

Remember that at this age most parents won’t stay anymore so I wouldn’t want a huge group and being responsible for too many children.

Sounds fine to me. I think you only start getting into "leaving people out territory" if you're inviting 75% or more of the class and then leaving a smaller group out. Based on your numbers I would say it's perfectly acceptable.
