Feeding the cat!

My ex husband and I have a ok relationship. We get on for dd sake. We have a dog and a cat, they're family pets, which live in the house we both own but I currently live there until dd's 18.
We do various things for each other, I rescued him when his car broke down, locked out, always agree to his last minute change of plans regarding the weekends he has dd.
On average every 6 weeks I go away to visit family, I go alone for one night, leave in the evening back in the morning. Ex DH is now refusing to feed the cat! Am I being unreasonable?

Poor cat 😟 does he really not care about him/her enough to spend 30 seconds feeding it? It’s not a favour for you, it’s for a living thing
Sadly not. He knows I adore my cat, I always loved it more than him. He is using him to get back at me for whatever reason.

you can get timer bowls - but I jsut leave a bowl with a small cardboard tray on top so too keep the food fresh. Cat does have dried food, but doesn't like it much.
He/she will certainly be OK for 24 hours, probably a bit longer.

But if he is being such an arse over feeding the cat, I wouldn't be putting myself out to be so amenable overeverything else.

No she is at her dad’s

I cannot understand what you are doing, if she is at her dads, who is with the dog? You don’t leave your dog by itself do you?

All very weird. You are not together anymore, he doesn’t need to look after your cat, make your own arrangements.

It's not weird at all. They are OUR pets who we are both responsible for the same as our daughter. As I explained in my other replies. My ex comes to pick up the dog to take back to his house and he usually feeds the cat at the same time. But now his is saying he will pick the dog up and look after her along with dd but not feed the cat.
