One bright red ear in 3 year old

One ear is fine, the other is bright red. But not unwell in himself.

Should I be worried?

It could be a mild infection that can be shaken off without giving anything. Just keep an eye out for other signs of infection.

Down the hole, or the actual ear?

Keep an eye on his temp.

My DS had a temp no other signs, were at the docs for a different reason, I mentioned it and turned out he had an ear infection.

My sister gets this when she's tired. Just keep an eye on him.

My son gets this when he is tired.

DS get this when he is tired or (oddly) when he needs a wee.
