Please help me find this Points West video

Firstly I am sorry for posting in AIBU but i am desperate.

I am looking for a recording of BBC breakfast with points west included and a recording of itv west country news from this morning. My DD age 10 was on one of them, we dont know which. We didn't see it and it isn't online as far as I can see.

Specifically we want the tree planting for the jubilee bit. DD is going to ask the person who saw her which channel it was tomorrow so we can narrow it down.

Just hoping against hope that a fantastic mumsnetter can help us track this down.

Wont it be on iPlayer/ ITV player?

No because it was on during points west in BBC breakfast. They don't seem to put those programmes up separately. If you watch the breakfast show on iPlayer they cut out all the local news.

The one thing I can tell you is... they repeat everything endlessly during the day. If you were to eatch Points West news in the evening, it will be exactly the same footage from the points west news breaks during BBC breakfast TV

It wasn't today it was yesterday. It was only on in the morning. I'm so disappointed I won't see it.

Ahhh OK.... it's just that whatever I see in their short news spots on breakfast or during the day, is usually repeated on Points West half hour slot that day.
Have you watched yesterday's PW all the way through?

Yes. It's not there. Once DD finds out if it was definitely BBC I will send them an email and see if they can get me the footage. I expect they get requests all the time though so not hopeful.

They vanish almost immediately. Can you message Points West and ask for the footage. Worth a try.

@DobbyTheHouseElk yes that is what I will try next. I know other people are disappointed they missed it. Particularly the event organiser so hopefully someone will get a copy of it.

If it’s itv try Ben Mcgrail. He usually does the outside broadcasts locally. He has a FB page. Twitter etc I imagine. I found a local video report via his FB page once.

Thanks @DobbyTheHouseElk I really appreciate the ideas. I have looked but not there unfortunately. I have messaged both BBC and ITV to see if they can post it on their Facebook page. Fingers crossed

OP - where did you message at the BBC?

If you can get a number for the Points West newsroom (or just reception), someone in there will more likely be able to help you.

I just sent a message to the points west Facebook messenger. It auto replies with a number so if I don't hear anything I'll phone that. Thanks 👍
