AIBU to start drinking the bottle of Reyka vodka

On the voddie at 2pm on a Monday sounds a bit hardcore to me but so long as you won’t be bevying yourself into oblivion/getting behind the wheel of a car etc, then enjoy.

Now I love the sauce.

But on the vodka on a Monday afternoon is a bit rich for my blood.

I have not had any sprits since chistmas. I dont know how to drive anyway. but its not my birthday yet and I was just going to try it to see what its like.

I am not the best person to respond because vodka makes me really ill. If you must drink, stick to wine. Spirits are poison and, to me, vodka is the worst.

I would say it's a little worrying to be drinking spirits on a Monday afternoon. Are you alone? Are you working? Kids to collect from school?

Assuming you're in the UK and it's currently mid-afternoon on a Monday, YABU.

I think on MN I'd be classified as a big drinker but I can't think of a situation in which I fancied drinking spirits mid-afternoon on a working day, unless there was some social expectation (eg. are you on a factory tour of the distillery?!)

I'll have to stop drinking wine then, VelvetChair. I don't drink it all the time and it would be no hardship to give up altogether.
