To ask about sanitisation procedures

So I finally built up the courage to get my nose pierced today (I have wanted it done for years but I'm needle phobic!)

Booked an appointment at place with a very good reputation locally. Went this afternoon and had been meaning to check that I saw the piercer take the needle out of a brand new sterile pack.

Ended up being that scared that I didn't even notice whether she did!

AIBU to send a message afterwards to check their hygiene procedures? I don't want to seem like I'm being funny and common sense tells me that someone with such a good reputation would have good procedures. But there's just a niggling worry in my mind about it!

With the needle, as it's already been done, I wouldn't message. Would you believe her if she said it was in the original packaging?

Most places have to follow strict guidelines and it sounds like you did your homework prior to booking your appointment.
