Lovebite on my neck

It’s the second time in 6 months I’ve had a mark on my neck that looks just like a lovebite. Obviously I know I haven’t been with anyone but it’s a little concerning for my boyfriend, who is just having to take my word for it.

Google isn’t giving any suggestion of an alternative explanation. Anyone experienced this and can help me?!

Perfume reaction?

Ringworm? It looked exactly like a lovebite when my daughter had it.

Ringworm? Oh Christ!

Insect bite reaction? I know it’s unlikely in the same spot but I suppose not impossible!

Psoriasis? The patches I get on my legs are red, rather than the scaly/flakey ones I get elsewhere. My psoriasis started on my elbows following repeated throat infections. It doesn't run in my family at all. I'd never had it as a child. It sounds like it is worth getting it checked out.

Ringworm? Oh Christ!

Ringworm is no biggie! It’s not a worm, just a fungal skin infection. Ring GP and if it is ringworm they’ll prescribe a cream that will clear it up, maybe daktacort or one of those steroids with antifungal.

Handbag strap rubbing? Had to stop using one crossbody bag because of it.
