Is flu a thing this winter?

I remember hearing back in the autumn that it was probably going to be an awful flu season this year. Since then there’s been no news on the subject. By now there’s normally massive hospital bed shortages and it’s headline news. Does anyone know what’s happening with flu this year?

It appears to be a mild year for it - you can look up government statistics, there’s a weekly report, levels look pretty low/baseline from my limited understanding.

Assuming I’ve had it though, week in bed with temp and body aches, but negative pcr. But no one would register that as flu as I’ve not had a test for it.

Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell but it’s good to hear cases seem low again this year.

According to the Zoe app video, cases low all over Europe.

Maybe Covid is 'cancelling' it out. I read somewhere that having a common cold can stop you catching Covid so maybe certain viruses can't co-exist together.
