to think you should not smell smoke between walls?

I used to be a smoker so might not have noticed previously, but have not smoked for 10 years.

since then, it comes through our walls, and i am talking strong and pungent like it is in the room. The houses are old terraced, and our neighbour's smoke a lot but have only noticed it this past 2 years.

Have to put burner oils on to counteract it.

I believe that people should be able to choose to do this in their own homes, but how to counteract it?

Surely this is not normal, our houses are to blame?

It's probably not coming through the walls but it's possible to smell it. I can certainly smell my dopehead loser neighbour. It could be going through vents, loft space, maybe even under doors if they are next to each other?

we do have two vents on the chimney walls could it be that?

Sounds like it could be. It must be coming from somewhere if you can smell it. Sympathies: that's pretty bad.

Can anyone other than you smell it?
I get a really pungent smell of smoke sometimes. No one else can smell it and my neighbours don't smoke.
I realised its part of a pre-migraine aura for me.

neighbour's husband went into hospital and her family came to stay who all smoke, so we are thinking it is a collective thing. Neighbours always smoked but we could never smell it.

guess it just got amplified. cant really blame them, just confused how it's getting in.
