To cry...

Got a special (chocolate, cream and hazelnut) dessert cake, to celebrate this evening. Lovingly decanted it onto a plate, safe and well back on the kitchen worktop.

Picked up the pack of defrosted chicken that was next to it.

The bottom of the pack had a split.

The raw chicken juice poured all over the special dessert cake.

I cried!

(Even apart from the food poisoning issue, I'm vegetarian).

Noooo! Have you got any dessert takeaway places near you? Can you get a back up special replacement?

Bah, I'd still eat it, it's cake 😂

YANBU. I have cried over a food-related disappointment more than once...usually when very hormonal. I hope you find a nice alternative, OP.

Shortbread, ice cream and chocolate sauce. Not quite as luxury as what was planned, but DH came up trumps.
