Slimming World Consultant hounding me.

I went to a slimming world meeting this week. It was such an annoying experience and so disorganised and it started late, it is the first time I've joined SW.
I had to leave before getting weighed and paying the membership fee because my daughters nursery called and said she needs a pcr test as she's coughing. Slimming world consultant was talking to the class so I just slipped out the door and text her to explain. I said I'll come back next week to get weighed and I can bank transfer payment for the membership. I said I'd ring her in a few days.
Since then, she's hounded me and hounded me with calls despite me telling her I'll ring her.
Its putting me off going back.
Are SW consultants on some kind of commission or something?

This put me off SW, we have a local group and the leader is on our area FB group, I asked a question on there and she sent me a friend request straight away and bombarded me with messages. I unfriended her, blocked here and joined WW instead

If you left without paying that's probably why she's hounding you.

I didn't take anything with me though, all I did was sign a form and was waiting for a pack as she had run out as there were lots of new members today.

Sw consultants are self employees and part of the franchise. So yes they don't get paid until they recruit members.
However that is a disgrace hounding you. I would send a polite message to say please leave me alone and explain that they constant contact is annoying.
I wouldnt give up on sw however try a different consultant or even try online. When I was a member I tried a few before I found someone I really clicked with. But I don't go anymore as she left.
Or yes try WW.

If you were given the membership pack and then left without paying that’s why she’s hounding you - the consultants are basically franchisees so have to pay for everything themselves so she will have had to buy that membership pack and then she didn’t get the money for it from you. Just get in touch, pay the joining fee and then she’ll leave you alone.

Did you leave with the new members pack? I think most SW consultants earn peanuts so understandibly if you took the membership pack, she wants paying for it.

If you’ve not taken a pack then you don’t have to join, don’t have to pay. Procedure is new member comes in, new member talk, stay for group. Then IF you want to join you fill in form, pay and weigh. Our Consultant says something like if the new members would like to join please come over to desk at end of group.
She’s self employed but shouldn’t be harassing you to join.
It’s January so groups are busy we’ve been starting but late due to sheer numbers.
Personally I wouldn’t stay with her as you are never going to get on with her.

Seen your update. You don’t have to join and don’t owe her for first group. I’d just text decided I’m not joining now and block her. And I’m saying that as a sw member very happy with my group and lost 5 stone in 8 months.

You haven't taken anything so tell her to get stuffed and not contact you again.
