Spent time writing a lengthly review on amazon. Only about the product, no mention of how long it took to get here or anything else that goes against their guidelines. It's got thousands of reviews but I checked quite a lot of the 'top reviewer' ones to make sure I wasn't repeating what's been said a million times. It wasn't anything unnecessary but things people actually might want to know. It's been about 2 weeks since I submitted a review and they still haven't published it, It's not a matter of me not being able to find it as when I go to the page (the one I bought the product from) it tells me to 'write a review'. I didn't keep a copy of the review I submitted and I didn't recieve an email to say it can't be published.

Sounds like it wasn't submitted properly for some reason

Londonlivingg · 20/01/2022 12:53

You keep going back to check whether a review you wrote weeks ago has been published?

Someone has too much time on their hands Grin

HRMtheQuern · 20/01/2022 13:00

@Londonlivingg

What a horrible thing to say, especially since it's a lie. When a review gets published on amazon you recieve an email about it to say it's been published. I didn't get one. And I'd have liked to have thought that the review I spent quite a bit of time writing didn't disappear into thin air

Surely if it's got thousands of reviews already, anything to be said has been said? Maybe you need a hobby

Theunamedcat · 20/01/2022 13:03

Try writing it again? I had one rejected because it was unnecessarily critical they literally arrived broken looking nothing like the picture and they offered me 5%discount if I kept them rather than returning them to China despite claiming to be a "UK SELLER" I was unimpressed

SparklyLeprechaun · 20/01/2022 13:04

Does it matter?

Glitterspy · 20/01/2022 13:05

What was the product? What was the main point of your review? Why is it so important to you that the review gets published?

Sometimes companies choose to moderate out poor reviews. I don’t know if Amazon sellers can do this though.

Next time just copy and paste and save into Word so you have a backup if you care so much about this.

Pikaso · 20/01/2022 13:06

Wow why do you care so much?! I wouldn’t give it a second thought!

HRMtheQuern · 20/01/2022 13:08

I'm a full time mum with all sorts of jobs and hobbies. I know I shouldn't really care because you don't know me and it makes no difference, but I'm quite offended that you've basically dismissed my entire life because of this situation alone.

most of the people who wrote lengthly reiews were top reviewers. who didn't mention what I had to say. I don't know if it's just me but I read longer reviews rather than short vague ones. I just wanted to be of help, same reason why people respond to posts on mumsnet. This isn't any different.

Well they’ve not published it so move on. Just one of those things
ouch321 · 20/01/2022 13:21

Ignore people being twatty above. I find product reviews v helpful.

ShirleyPhallus · 20/01/2022 13:21

Isn’t everyone who has a child “a full time mum”?

SilverHairedCat · 20/01/2022 13:22

Bloody hell, move on my love, it can take weeks for them to approve feedback - they get millions!!

Fatgalslim · 20/01/2022 13:24

God Lord, it's a strange thing to get so worked up about though

Livpool · 20/01/2022 13:25

I think you just need to let it go

Pikaso · 20/01/2022 13:30

Let it go - let it go - Can’t hold it back anymore!

Whybirdwhy · 20/01/2022 14:00

People are being harsh here! I buy most things online and I really appreciate people who take the time to write honest online reviews because they are very helpful. I think most of check these reviews don't we?!

I'm afraid I can't help with your question though OP.

Fatgalslim · 20/01/2022 14:06

Nothing wrong with writing a review, being so upset that it wasn't published is a bit of an overreaction

Reallycantbesarsed · 20/01/2022 14:11

Ignore all the twatty comments OP .I always check reviews when buying anything on line . Try and forget about it or write another one .

You wouldn't give a hoot if it wasn't published Grin
Whydoiwearsomuchleopardprint · 20/01/2022 14:22

I find reviews super useful too and can imagine it must be annoying when you have tried to be helpful and spent time writing a review and it’s not published.

ouch321 · 20/01/2022 14:24

Good one

So do I.

However, having be asked to give a good review for a voucher several times, I am VERY suspicious of Amazon reviews.

girlmom21 · 20/01/2022 14:40

I purchased something a while ago that was shit when it arrived. Amazon asked me to review it but then when I submitted the review i got a pop up saying there had been lots of suspicious reviews so only verified reviewers could review that item.

Mine never actually showed as 'delivered' so I never got classed as a verified reviewer. I think this was completely intentional by the dodgy sellers.
