Who will organise it???

With the departure of Boris surely imminent would it be unreasonable to ask if there will be a leaving party?

Who would organise it? Who would attend?
What would his leaving gift be?
Would he have to be advised of what a party looks like? After all he obviously has no clue!

Light hearted but not light heartedGrin

Ok just a thought.

Dom and Rishi to organise it. I'm sure they can't wait to give him a good send offGrin

Carrie and the family as guests and any other MP's of little integrity.

For his gift some fancy dress I suggest a clown outfit a polygraph machine and the Oxford Handbook of Lying.

Well, you're right to be concerned - this is probably a very real worry for those around him - how to give him the send off that he so rightly deserves! Grin

However, I disagree with your choice of leaving gifts. He doesn't need a clown outfit as his persona is already self evident, a polygraph machine would be unlikely to work on him, as he believes his own lies, and he has no need of the Oxford Book of Lies as he already has a degree in that subject. Maybe you could have a collection to fund some surgery for him, to fix his LOMC (Lack Of Moral Compass) disease?

By the way, don't forget to add Dom Cummings to the guest list - I'm sure Bojo would love to have a friendly catch up with his old buddy.

Seemslikeagoodidea · 20/01/2022 01:29

PS: "Tears of a Clown" by Smoky Robinson would make a great theme tune for the party. Or "It's my party and I'll Cry [lie] if I want to" could work well.

AlexaShutUp · 20/01/2022 01:31

Do you get a leaving party if you're sacked?

I'd have thought that he has had his share of parties already...

Thedogscollar · 20/01/2022 01:35

@Seemslikeagoodidea
Yes you are right. I've chosen the wrong gifts they would all be wasted on him.
Maybe a makeoverGrin I'm sure Holly n Phil would do a good job on him. Quite frankly anything would be an improvement though it is maybe a big ask.
Yes Dom would defo have to be there and party games could include Blind man's Bluff as Dom would love that and Bojo would love a game of sardines as he is a well known latch.

Great idea for party games - how about Musical Chairs? Good training for when they lose their seats.

Will there be social distancing? I'm not thinking of the Covid risk, more about unplanned pregnancies, as Bojo seems to be so virile that he only has to brush past a woman and she's pregnant.

Thedogscollar · 20/01/2022 02:15

Oh yes musical chairs Grin

Thought Bojo might like a game of Twister followed by Truth or Dare then of course Cards against Humanity which I'm sure he would excel at and win hands down.

Leaving gift? A single sock....... to stuff in his gab, so we don't have to listen to him anymore...

Seemslikeagoodidea · 20/01/2022 02:28

Truth or Dare could appeal to Bojo, but he might get a bit tired having to do all those dares... obviously telling the truth would not be an option for him.

Best check with Keir Starmer that he's not having a party on the same night... it would be a shame if Bojo's pals suddenly disappeared to another party.

XelaM · 20/01/2022 05:25

A personalised game of Memory with pictures to match the names of all of Bojos many(!) kids to help him memorise them all Blush

sashh · 20/01/2022 07:01

I agree 'Truth or dare" would have to be played, and maybe spin the bottle (that you brought yourself)?

Seemslikeagoodidea · 20/01/2022 17:58

These games all sound good, but there would need to be some responsible adult in charge, to explain the rules constantly, as Bojo does struggle to remember rules. Also, he doesn't always play nicely with other party players, so would need to be kept under control.

sashh · 21/01/2022 04:31

I think a play pen for BJ and someone to throw the odd sausage roll at him

ThinWomansBrain · 21/01/2022 04:44

A single sock....... would a single one be big enough?
and any other MP's of little integrity well the garden of no 10 probably not big enough then
gift - a haircut, so he's not recognised by anyone
plane tickets for him and Blair (who is popping up far too often) to go away somewhere a long way away & shut up

QueenofLouisiana · 21/01/2022 05:33

By all accounts, Gove brings a little something extra to parties- so maybe him?

Can’t see truth or dare working. BJ would never understand the rules: what is this “tell the truth” of which you speak?

ThinWomansBrain · 21/01/2022 09:45

whoever gets top trumps and voted PM can lead the conga.

ThinWomansBrain · 21/01/2022 09:47

& they could have a wallpaper stripping party in preparation for something naice from John Lewis.

Seemslikeagoodidea · 21/01/2022 15:28

Well, judging by the amount they spent on the refurb, they must have thought they'd be there for the long term. Totally insane amount of money to spend on a property they don't own.

All this planning, for a party that may not take place, because Bojo might leave in a hurry, scuttling out the door with his tail behind him (hopefully).

ChargingBuck · 21/01/2022 15:46

Surely we need to add a fridge to the leaving present list?
Everyone needs somewhere to hide from pesky journo's asking difficult questions.

Poor Johnson. All that early intellectual promise, wasted to the point that he reckons "nobody told me it was against the regulations" is a viable excuse when the entire nation knew it ... because Johnson himself was giving press conferences to ensure everyone knew about the regulations he & his officials devised ...

XelaM · 21/01/2022 17:35

Maybe a new job at Peppa Pig World 🐷 (as one of the 🐷 family)?

Seemslikeagoodidea · 24/01/2022 03:56

@XelaM Well, he'd fit in well there, but I doubt he'd want a job like that, as it probably doesn't pay enough to keep up with Carrie's expensive tastes.

@ChargingBuck Yes, it's unbelievable the pathetic excuses he's come up with - he reminds me of a child who breaks something, then says "It was like that when I found it!" I hope the report is released soon, and provides enough evidence so that he can be removed from office. Irony is, I bet there'll be a fair few people partying around Downing Street if that happens, but Bojo won't be one of them.

Seemslikeagoodidea · 28/01/2022 17:43

Well, no point in booking the entertainment yet, because the initial report is being delayed and the Met Police want parts of it redacted, so at this rate things could drag on for weeks. No doubt Bojo thinks if he delays things long enough people will forget/lose interest and other distractions will come along to justify keeping him in place.
