AIBU to believe Boris Johnson is focussed on 'me' and not 'us'

He's playing with our health, taking decisions to deflect from his disgraceful behaviour and to gain favour.

Definitely all about him and not about us.

Yanbu. But this is no surprise - he has always been interested in his own prospects above all else. I couldn't stand Teresa May but at least I felt she was following her principles (some of the time anyway). I don't think Johnson has any principles to follow.

Have you just realised this

I was just about to say the exact same thing .
TulipsGarden · 19/01/2022 18:21

Nothing is important to Boris except himself. And how to weasel his way out of the latest shit he's in.

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 19/01/2022 18:28

Well yeah, obvs.

Spectre8 · 19/01/2022 18:31

Cases have been falling quite quickly. Restrictions had to come to an end its ridiculous to think they should continue when its clear we at the end. If he does go he could be replaced by someone is is lockdown happy...is that what you really want..never ending restrictions.

Time to move on and get on with life

Thedogscollar · 19/01/2022 18:32

It's always been all about him. Always has been always will be.

He could not give a stuff for the public. We are the shit on his shoe.

The man is a national disgrace who just does not care whatsoever.

Bigassbeebuzzbuzz · 19/01/2022 18:34

Boris Johnson cares about 2 things

  1. Boris Johnson
  2. Boris Johnson penis

The order of importance does switch from time to time.

TorringtonDean · 19/01/2022 18:36

Infections are up today to 108,000. Lifting restrictions is entirely about appeasing his backbenchers and distracting from his frankly appalling behaviour.

thepeopleversuswork · 19/01/2022 18:44

I have always hated the “you weren’t thinking of us you were thinking of you” thing. Partly because I don’t want to talk like Celine Dion. But also because I hate the idea that the needs of the couple trump the needs of the individual.

That massive derail aside, I agree with you.

That phrase just makes me cringe.

iklboo · 19/01/2022 18:45

What took you so long?

Suzanne999 · 19/01/2022 18:48

99% of politicians are only interested in themselves, the alliances they can make, the connections to give them more glory ( as they see it) and secure huge incomes after they leave politics.

Maybe....but testing isn't as rigorous as positives are through LFT without a PCR, so less reporting.

I work with schools, we have 2,500 children absent with COVID this week in my LA.

We are reporting the worst staff absences since the pandemic started, more schools and nurseries than ever having to revert to home learning.
An even worse picture in Adult Social Care....where due to lack of staff (Brexit and COVID) the vulnerable can't be discharged from hospital because there is no care for them....

but Boris, go ahead and look after YOU!

He’a always been like that. He will say anything/do anything to hang onto power.

Anything and every thing will be thrown under a bus by him to save Boris the leader.

I don’t think the conservatives want him anymore but there is no obvious replacement.
