Can somebody please explain?!

As far as I can tell, someone made a typo. This led to the masses spitting out their tea, waking the husband/kids/dog and having tears in their eyes with laughter.

Similar to how snapped and farted was "hilarious".

Snapped and farted was NOT hilarious, not even a little bit. Quern was totally different and very, very funny

Snapped and farted was a load of rubbish and not remotely funny.

The quern was really funny because lots of posters were very quick witted in their replies (ermagerd)
