I'm pretty sure I have and have always had social anxiety, but I brush it off as just being shy but actually it's a big problem that is affecting my life, especially work.
I want to go the GP about it but I'm nervous to because I don't know what to expect. I have tried self-directed CBT in the past and had no luck with it, I feel like I don't really have conscious thoughts that make me socially anxious, I just am.
Has anyone been to the GP specifically about social anxiety, and what kind of help did they receive?
