To worry about this?

Last week my 4 year old DS slipped and fell while playing and cut his lip. Today I have accidentally scratched his face with my nail (have filed it down now!) Sad He was being silly when we were trying to cross the road and wouldn't hold my hand. A car was coming so I had to grab him fast but my hand slipped somehow and I caught his cheek. Feel terrible. I know these things happen but I suffer from anxiety,so I worry about having to explain to the nursery or school when my children hurt themselves on the odd occasion. Will they be concerned that he hurt his lip last week and now I've scratched him accidentally? Or is this my anxiety talking?

Hello OP, please don't worry. They will know that things like this happen! Just be honest and open if they ask! It was much more important that you kept him safe whilst crossing the road. I have anxiety too so can fully understand!

Thank you for replying. I will tell nursery when I drop him off in the morning of course. Anxiety is horrible isn't it.

Ah @Mummyofboys88 he’s a typical little chap, cuts and scrapes are part of the deal, don’t beat yourself up about it! It’s par for the course. I’ve accidentally bumped my kids heads, stepped on their toes and caught them with my nails Blush These things happen, mention it to the nursery in passing and don’t worry!
