4 month old baby, been having a bad sleep 24 hours. I'm upstairs getting her down to sleep while he cooks. All sounds great so far right? Except I really fancied a crappy dinner of sausage rolls and beans, but he insisted on making blackened steak stir fry.......I'm sure you can guess why I'm considering the patio option....bloody fire alarm!!!! JUST as I got her into the cot. Anyone got a shuvel??

(Disclaimer - I know IABU, he is a good one really and is probably saving me from myself for having the palate of a 5 year old after a swimming lesson tonight)

All DH/DP rants welcome!

I don’t have a rant to add, but I do remember trying to get a 4 month old to sleep and I’d be absolutely murderous hearing the smoke alarm going off just as the baby is asleep! YANBU

I'll join you in digging the footings.... My DO decided ten minutes after a 45 minute bedtime for out seriously arsey 4 month old was the perfect time to start drilling ceiling boards into the utility room rafters, RIGHT UNDERNEATH WHERE THE BABY WAS SLEEPING.

I did at least give him good warning that I wouldn't be responsible for my actions if he woke the baby!

Maybe we could get a 2 for 1 type deal on paving slabs?
