How long for reply from Rainbows Leader?

I know no-one knows the answer, I am aware they’re volunteers and could be working or seeing their own families or on holiday or away from their computer for any number of reasons.

My DD has just done an interest badge. I sent the evidence off to the Leader and the DC (as per what I’ve been told to do) on Thursday, she’s due to go Tuesday night and still heard nothing of whether she’s been given the interest badge.

Normally wouldn’t bother me but one of them at least replies within 48 hours, so was expecting to get a reply no later than today (given I sent it Thursday evening). And I’m worried DDs not done enough for the badge – usually they’d tell us quite quickly to give us chance to get it done before the next meeting.

DDs due to get her Silver Award if she does this, so that could be why no reply? When she got her Bronze they replied saying they didn’t have any in the badge room so would order it to be given at end of half term, so they might be checking to see if any of the other units in the area have them maybe?

Obviously not going to bother them again on a Sunday night, but WIBU to ask on Tuesday when I drop DD off if they got my email? The DC helps run our unit so should be there.

I don’t see any harm in asking.

Yeah ask on Tuesday, especially as the need the evidence before they'll aware they badge.

*award, obvs

I would assume they would tell her at the meeting so wouldn’t expect a reply before then

Fine to mention it briefly when you pick up on Tuesday, to check they got your email and there isn’t anything else your DD needs to do

@Meandthesky They usually reply saying yes or no to giving it, and if no explain what you need to do to get it so you have chance before the next meeting to get it done and sent in.

Update: got acknowledgement of paying the subs, so I just asked if they'd received the other email, they said yes, sorry for lack of reply they're trying to find a Silver Badge.

I've said she can wait until the end of the half term for it, so she's getting the interest badge and theme award tomorrow night.
