A bit backwards but I'm on the look out for a new engagement ring.
When we actually got engaged we got a 'cheap' ring which was lovely however I cannot wear it with my wedding ring and the wedding ring has caused the engagement ring to corrode.
It was always the plan that when we had the means we would get an new engagement ring especially now I can't wear my old one at all - I know I don't necessarily 'need' to wear one but it means a lot to me.
Anyway we've been looking for the past 5 months and in that time there are 2 which I have really loved both have diamonds part way round the band and then one had a sapphire and one had a diamond centre however both these times I've been told they wouldn't do it up to my size and I'd have to order a custom ring in order for it to fit (im ring size U) these are often hundreds if not over a thousand pounds more than the one that I liked.
I've all but given up and feel really disheartened- even when I've been loosing weight my fingers never seem to change!!
Any advice on how to find rings if you are a bigger size or do I just give up!
