30th Birthday

Hi all,

Not an AIBU but not sure where to post!

Going abroad to celebrate my partners 30th birthday next year and I usually make a big song and dance for all of our birthdays. We're staying in an all inclusive hotel with no kids Grin

Can I have suggestions on what I could take as presents? Bearing in mind I'm limited due to luggage allowance - I'm happy to pick stuff up in the airport (Manchester) if needed.

Do you have any suggestions for a special 30th present?

Thanks!

Just book him something amazing to do over there. Parasailing, skydiving if hes that adventurous. A boat trip at sunset..

You dont have to pack anything then and can have a lovely half day outside the hotel

What about some sort of sex toy as you're child free? Or some sort of subscription (bring a print off of the confirmation in an envelope) like posh coffee, booze, whatever your partner is into.

I'd probably buy myself some lingerie, get him a cigar and put champagne on room service.

If you want more of a gift-gift then I'd go for a vintage watch.

I had a nice watch for my 30th

Have mind blowing sex and book some sort of an activity like paragliding etc

Everyone I know has bought jewelry/watch. I agree with making the nights extra special. We've been away in a group and got t shirts printed. We've taken banners etc and decorated the sun lounger. For a tip the staff will decorate the table (with your stuff) and birthday cakes are usually done. So you could take candles. Is he into designer sunglasses? Would he want an Armani etc beach towel?

Thank you for all your suggestions!

He has an Apple Watch series 6 and has sworn he wouldn't wear another kid of watch now! He already has quite a nice collection of watches from previous birthdays/Christmas'.

Good idea for a sex toy/lingerie! I'll have a look.

I've contacted the hotel and requested champagne and a birthday cake which they've agreed to do - I'll wait til I'm there and see if I can arrange for a parasol to be decorated with banners etc.

Thank you all!

Laughing at the implication that you can only own sex toys if you're child free. I know that's not what was meant but it just made me giggle Grin
