Is anyone listening to Danny Robins’ Uncanny podcast? Thought I’d start a discussion thread if there isn’t one already. Favourite case so far?

The Brooklyn Poltergeist made my blood run cold! The bit where the voice spoke over Siri 😱

Oh wow, I just want to say thank you so much for introducing me to this brilliant series! I just listened to Room 611 and the update. Brilliant and so unsettling. I was listening to it through headphones while cleaning the kitchen; I’d forgotten DH was working from home and when he appeared behind me to make a cup of tea I nearly jumped out of my skin

I’ve just listened to the Brooklyn poltergeist episode, and I found the parapsychologist’s theories about Charli’s experiences being an manifestation of her mental state really interesting. We moved abroad for DH’s work when my children were tiny, and lived in a newly-built apartment block. I used to see “shadow figures” out of the corner of my eye constantly, and a few other weird, unexplainable things happened. I think it was a manifestation of my exhaustion and disorientation - I was at home alone all day with a baby and toddler, massively sleep-deprived, no one to talk to and homesick - rather than a haunting. And funnily enough after a few months we moved into a 100 year old house where nothing creepy ever happened!

I love this series, and the Battersea Poltergeist. My favourite episode is the Elizabeth Dacre one. Quite sad it destroyed their marriage.

I saw he had a series preceding this one a few years ago,so I’m working my way through that now, it’s simply called Haunted … similar sort of thing but not quite as good, he’s definitely honed his craft on Uncanny
