Friend of almost 40 years is starting to annoy me with Covid rules. We are both vaccinated, kids the same age and live in the same area. From the start she has picked and chosen what rules she will follow and then makes me feel bad if I go somewhere that she doesn't agree with.
I've never broken the rules, she has on numerous occasions. Her sister has travelled back from a city with really high covid cases on numerous occasions with her family and stayed in my friends house, friend lives with her Mam and Step Dad (big house), her brother and his family and daughter from another relationship would visit all the time too. This was back when households were not allowed mix.
She constantly harps on about restaurants being a hot spot for spreading covid and how she wouldn't go to a restaurant at the minute or last year either. She did however go to a city centre bar for her 40th a couple of months ago.
She childminds two days a week so is in somebody else's house. She is also a hairdresser and continues to do hair in other peoples home.
She asked to meet for a walk this week and go for breakfast. I said sounds good until she said, "yeh we can sit outside because I'm just following all the rules like my Mam"!!! It's 4 degress at the minute.
I'm just really sick of it tbh. As I said I've followed the rules, haven't had Covid yet, she had it last January but yet she makes me feel like I'm irresponsible for wanting to go to a restaurant or pub which is allowed.
I probably sound really petty.
