Hello

I am in need of some comfy gym trainers, I have a budget of up to £50 which I know isn't a lot when it comes to trainers.

I don't know where to start as I have worn primark ones for a year and they're now falling apart.

Thank you!

Have a look in Decathlon. I got some branded ones Ascics? for £40 reduced from £60 at the weekend. They seem OK, but I'm not a specialist.

Hi, what are you using them for? Running? Weights?

errnerrcallnernnernnern · 11/01/2022 08:34

I love my current trainers from Nike. They were £37.

Top tip: if you sign up to Nike you get 20% on your birthday and free delivery.

So sign up now and pretend your birthday is next week.

*20% discount

The discount can be used on sale items too

Completely depends what you want them for OP.
For weight training you want something flat and sturdy and for classes and cardio you want the opposite!

Depending on your size you can take a look at the older kids sections, I buy size 39&40 from Nike older kids, they are half the price of adults.
No good for running as need to size up obvs.

I tend to go onto the websites, held straight to sale section and filter on my size. Cuts down the search time.

cheesenpickle · 11/01/2022 08:47

I have just got a pair of new balance from sports direct in the sale £54 so slightly over your budget reduced from £74.

horseymum · 11/01/2022 08:51

Sport shoes. Com often good. Try in the half sizes as people often just search size 5 but 5.5 might be a better fit and good deals.

sageandbasil · 11/01/2022 12:31

I brought NIKE running trainers on offer for £40 they're amazing

layna12 · 11/01/2022 12:42

Thanks everyone!

I wanted a pair of all rounders and found some Nike ones for £42 on sports direct 😊

Today my new running shoes (I can no longer run because of knees - I do a lot of speed and uphill walking on the treadmill, resistance machines, etc now) - which are a pair of Saucony Grid Azura, the best shoes I have ever possessed (had a pair some years ago) - arrived.

Got them half price in the Saucony sale, on their website. £48.

I’d go on sportsshoes.com and get a proper branded pair with a discount. Will easily get a pair of new balance or Adidas for £50 on there

VickyEadieofThigh · 11/01/2022 12:49

This is them - I'm a size 6 in shoes but always (having been fitted at a specialist running shoe shop 25 years ago) - buy a half size bigger for gym shoes:
