To go on the dreaded slimfast?

So since new year I’ve cut out alcohol (I was a heavy binge drinker) and takeaways. My app works out I’ve saved over 3000 calories in alcohol alone this week.

I’ve put 1lb on!!

I desperately need to loose weight by March 10th. At least half a stone.

AIBU to just go on Slimfast? I know I can stick to it as I’ve done it before but I know it’s not healthy.

Any experience with it? AIbU to go for the quick fix?

If you like the idea of meal replacement look at Huel instead, much healthier

Op have you been on the weight loss topic? It's really helpful and there will be people on there who have experience of slimfast

It's so weird with alcohol, I gave it up for months and didn't lose a pound - then I started drinking again and surprisingly didn't gain despite introducing an extra 2000ish calories a week. I think some people must just metabolise it really quickly?

Yes if I introduce just one extra thing to my diet in food form, like a slice of toast each morning, the weight instantly starts creeping up!

I’m a chronic anaemic but very fussy with food (as I have no appetite) so eating tuna with tomatoes etc just won’t work, if I eat a boiled egg I’ll feel sick half way through it. I don’t know why I’m this way.

I’ve started eating 30g Rice Krispies for breakfast as they have a high iron count. That’s only 200 calories with semi skimmed milk. Then I’m thinking a Slimfast shake for lunch and a proper evening meal (600 calories). Surely this should shift the weight?

Meant to add I’m 5ft 10in and weigh 11st 7lbs. I want to get down to 10st

I'm doing the New You plan. It's more varied than slimfast. I've lost a stone in the first week so its extremely effective. I've one more stone to go so I would recommend 👌
