Over the last two years people have left my team and not been replaced. Although management tell me they are committed to our practice I’m not convinced. We don’t have many clients and there doesn’t seem to be any real push to get us any. At the end of last year a few people resigned and now there are only two mid level managers left and about 5/6 junior staff. The juniors can easily move into different areas that have more work as they aren’t that experienced but I do worry for myself and the other senior person. I’ve been looking for a new job for the past two months but most jobs are too junior/mean a salary drop, don’t offer the wfh flexibility I want etc. Sometimes I start to feel panicked and think I should just take anything that comes up even if it isn’t what I want, the other part off me feels I need to get it right as I don’t want to move again in another year or two (having been at the same place for almost a decade I’m keen to find somewhere I want to spend the next decade).
