There was a very noisy mob outside shouting and jeering - does anyone know what they were protesting about?

Nigel Farage being a cunt, probably

daimbarsatemydogsbone · 08/01/2022 17:25

Oh, I do wonder why he is being given airtime - but shouting and bellowing something that can't be heard and just makes the programme harder to listen to doesn't seem like a great way to get your point across - if that's what it was of course.

The only thing I know is they put out a call for very audience members on Twitter very late in the day (in the afternoon) which is very unusual as Alison Fuller is in hargeisa if this normally and it is all sorted in advance.

It led me to suspect that they had identified some problems with the originally selected audience members...ie evidence of some sort of campaign or group membership.

Alison Fuller is in hargeisa if this normally eh?

Alison Fuller is the audience producer for Question Time, not Any Questions

They had ‘Brexit Is Bollocks’ banners. I saw them on my way home.

HoliHormonalTigerlilly · 08/01/2022 20:18

Well, They are right! 🤷🏻‍♀️

BasketBlocks · 08/01/2022 20:39

Brexit is definitely bollocks, but it’s happened. What next? Protests about going into Suez?

StoneofDestiny · 08/01/2022 20:54

Glad to hear some residents of Reading are discerning - Brexit is bollocks and Farage is a Bawbag.

The Suez Crisis had implications well into the 1960s so Biscuit for this stunningly dimwitted comment

Meanwhile Brexit is still unfolding. The latest major change to our relations with other countries took place nine days of ago. The trade deals we were promised have not been done.

You'd have to be thick as treacle to think Brexit has now "happened"

JackieWeaverHandforthCouncil · 09/01/2022 17:35

Why is Farage still being given so much promotion on the BBC? Hasn’t he damaged our economy enough?
