.. against "ManFlu"

Ok, there isn't an effective vacination for "Manflu". The only known cure is a hard kick up the backside.

My husband has a sore throat and is conviced he is dying.

Don't even go there.

maybe they should have the magic jab I had. you don't need to go to docs. but it means you are not ill.
yes this is what dh is telling people. everyone is poorly but 2shoeas is ok as she had the flu jab. I BLOODY DIDN'T I HAVE HAD IT AS WELL. BUT CAN'T GIVE IN AS SOMEONE HAS TO GET OF THERE BACKSIDE AND LOOK AFTER EVERYONE.
(sorry needed to say that)

Oh goa but then they'd get 'vaccination reactions' necessitating a day in bed at least, coupled with lots of painkillers and coipus sympathy.

Prehaps we need an extra large blunt needle to administer the cure for manflu in the rear. (Which is ofcourse a harmless placebo)

Cautionary tale - my BIL was feeling ill a couple of months ago, and my sister was busy and unsympathetic (two very small children, moving house, the works). She was quite annoyed with him for having manflu. He eventually went to the doctors, to discover that his heart valve (which was due to be replaced) had become infected, and he was in hospital on IV antibiotics for 3 weeks!

Have had some fun teasing my sister about this one, though the exception could well prove the rule.

mine just had a day off sick after getting a runny nose/sore throat. He said "I couldn't breathe all night" to which I could only reply "Oh did you die then?"

I'm not Terribly sympathetic...
