Is it me, or is a really mindless, infuriating and pointless phrase?
I hate it.

It’s very boring and totally lacking in imagination. What are you meant to reply: ‘loading the dishwasher and then going to the shop?’

I’d rather they mentioned something in the news or told me about something they were doing then asked if I enjoyed xyz as well.

Asking what you're doing is just normal conversation....isn't it?

Anyone calling me babe would tell me that's not someone I want to spend time with.

Loading the dishwasher and going to the shop 🤣 It's so mindless. I've just stopped replying to anyone that asks. And I do not want to be called babe either 🤣

I only like being called babe or baby by my DH, anyone else can use my name, I don’t mind pet names that people use for male and female though, but I find only people up north use pet names anyway, like duck etc.

If this is a new relationship then I wouldn’t like them saying babe, just say you don’t like it. One of my friends hates babe/baby and her OH calls her darling, but darling makes me want to vomit 🤢

It's so cringe! I immediately switch off.
