...to ask your experiences of natural childbirth after a first-born caesarian?

My friend is due a baby in a few weeks. Her first birth was a planned caesarian and the baby was breech. This baby, her second, is in a good position and all looks good. I have had two natural births and was telling her how, the second time round, my body seemed to know what it was doing. Labour was faster and more rhythmic, somehow. My friend says lots of women have said the same - the second birth is faster, the body 'remembers' etc. We'd like to know whether this holds true for women for whom the first birth was a section. Would anyone like to share their experiences? I realise there'll be lots (billions?!) of different experiences out there but we'd like a bit of insight specifically into second births after first borns come via caesarian. Thanks.

Well, if her first baby was a Caesarean section and she hasn’t laboured before then no, it won’t be the same for her.
Her first labour for vaginal birth will unlikely be like others experiences of labouring with their 2nd child, as her body hasn’t gone through that process before

I had an emergency c section after a long labour with my first, they think her head just wasn't in the right position. With my second i had a long early labour but the active labour was shorter and had her naturally.
