What the fuck was that ending?!

It was great until the end - then it just turned to mush.

Squid Game was guilty of this too.

I think they're keeping things open in case they want to do another series. He could die or he could get up and vomit it out and call her.

purpleme12 · 05/01/2022 09:11

I'm not watching it can someone tell me the ending!

All the way along we were wondering if he was a murdering bastard or a nice guy.

Turns out, he was a nice guy before and after the memory loss.

Then randomly in the last 15 minutes, some woman turns up and claims that he forced her and two others to eat bagged heroin and then got someone to cut them out of them - two of them died.

It was random, didn't fit and made fuck all sense.

Then he took an overdose.

Why do you think he was a nice guy before the memory loss? He worked for a psychopath drug trafficker and hadn't established why. I thought it was quite good at not proclaiming either way (good/bad) in his previous life.

The ending was a downer, yeah.

Laufeythejust · 05/01/2022 09:55

I really enjoyed it. Liked that the woman didn’t turn out to be his mother or wife and that it was his brain not letting him hide from the bad things he had done. It annoyed me how useless the police were though

Because all along it was thought that he killed someone/people and he didn't.

I agree - the ending was ??? and felt rushed

I thought the twist with the woman revealing about the heroin deaths was actually a good one, as was her not wanting him to go down for it but rather live with it on his conscience.

I never really saw him and Helen as a couple and thought that was a bit contrived - would have been better for them to just stay good friends and to help each other. Why does it always have to end with romance?!

HyggeTygge · 05/01/2022 10:05

Because all along it was thought that he killed someone/people and he didn't.

It kept changing. First he was told he killed someone, then that it was clearly self-defence, then that he didn't. We didn't know much at all about his previous life until ep5 where we found out he had chosen, for unknown reasons but presume the obvious, to work for Kostas.

HyggeTygge · 05/01/2022 10:07

Seeing as how everything he was told kept changing I'd have at least held off for a few weeks on the old overdose if I was him. Was half expecting he had an evil twin Grin

@cadburyegg Helen reminded me of his 'wife' in The Fall actually Grin Also not a very realistic pairing imo.
