To think 45 hours a week is too much

Monday to Friday 9-6 with a 30 minute lunch break.
I'm sure there will be people on here who say they do 70/80 hours a week but I just feel that even 45 is slightly too much. Thinking of seeing if I can cut down to 4 days and 36 hours.

@LittleRoundRobin

22.5 hours a week is enough for me. 45+ is crazy.

I wouldn't do any more hours by choice. I don't know why anyone would choose to work more hours if they didn't have to tbh.

I love my job and it pays well.

OP its a lot if you dont enjoy your work and are not being recompensed sufficiently in your view. I do more hours most weeks but do really enjoy my work and am paid well. I have a small child and am pregnant. Couldnt do it without good support and the ability to wind things down where needed/take weeks off.

My first job was
Mon 0730 - Tues 1700
Wed 0730 - Thurs 1700
Fri 0730 - 1700
Sat Sun off
Mon0730-1700
Tues 0730 - Wed 1700
Thursday 0730 - Fri 1700
Sat 0730 -Mon 1700
And begin again

It was hell on earth - would never do it again or inflict on anyone. Would vomit about 1600 in the afternoon on the weekends, hallucinate was awful
On the days you worked through the nights - snatch 30 mins if you really lucky 2 hrs of sleep.

Dont do that now - but still alot
