To eat his chocolates?

I bought me and my partner a box of what are to me "posh" chocolates. I've eaten the majority of half the box. So the rest are "his". He's now gone for a week, so WIBU to eat his chocolates? And get a new box delivered in time?

You will of course have to eat half the new box too so he doesn't suspect. . Probably safest to order 2 boxes.... 😆

LaBelleSausage · 03/01/2022 19:51

I'm sure the chocolate industry struggles terribly each January. Supporting them by buying a new box is the supportive thing to do.

Agree you'll have to eat half of it

ShinyMe · 03/01/2022 19:57

Just eat them. If he wanted them, he'd have eaten some, surely? I don't understand why you'd replace them either unless you really want more yourself.

phishy · 03/01/2022 19:59

This comes under the heading of ‘common sense’, OP.

Rexthesnail · 03/01/2022 20:14

I laughed at eating half of the second box! They are such lovely chocolates I don't know how he didn't eat his half!

I will be supportive to the chocolate industry and buy another box and eat half

YABU to not describe these delicious chocolates and give us no hope of getting our own box (or half!)

Its the Lindt Master Chocolatier Collection. They are so good. Much better than Thorntons!

Lindt tastes a bit too sweet in my palette. So make sure you order the ones I won't be buying to balance their sales
Maybe 2 boxes in case of guests? (That you won't invite. So best eat theirs)9⁰

DartmoorChef · 03/01/2022 23:57

Awww I love lindt. It was my late dad's favourite too and as a kid he would always buy it for me as a treat.

Whatup · 04/01/2022 00:37

Get a box of the desert ones too delicious. The lindt website has short date cheap chocolates and sales.

Some of us like to savour things

But not everyone are gannets who eat everything in sight the second it enters the house. He may want them, but not right now. It's not like they go off in the short term.

I've barely touched my Christmas chocolates but at the same time it feels like I've spent the last week eating mince pies, trifle, Christmas cake and biscuits from the big tin all day every day.

We buy barely anything extra at Christmas but get given so much that I have to put things in expiry date order so they get eaten before they go stale.

There's still a carrier bag full of stuff at the bottom of the wardrobe as well as half a tin of biscuits in the kitchen. It will take months to get through it all.

Well Thorntons is rather a low bar.

But yes OP, as long as you replace his chocolates, eat them. Or he may actually not be bothered and happily let you eat them. Just ask him.

Heartburnkillingme · 04/01/2022 07:15

My chocolates were eaten by my husband so I may do this too but then eat them a la miss trunchbull from Matilda in his greedy pig face

Rexthesnail · 04/01/2022 13:58

There's a dessert collection! Oh I might have to try those.

Chocolates are being eaten a couple at a time. I'm not sure I'll buy the dessert collection to share though!
