It's the adverts. And is really annoying.

It's a real pain. There's a thread about it in Site Stuff.

Chrome is pretty crap. Sites with a lot running in the background i.e. ads, pop ups and lots of extras battering memory - Chrome can't handle it and starts crying it's awful.

I completely uninstalled it and just use Firefox but IE is just as good.

No, it has once or twice happened when I've been on the Guardian website. But on mumsnet it happens at least once a day.

Yes, have added to the thread about it on site stuff. It's the adverts.

It's been going on for ages, I'm sure I've read a few threads about it. As other posters have said it seems to be to do with adverts. No idea why it doesn't happen on other sites though.

It does on my mobile. I can then swipe down for eternity. Not all ads. The ads probably need reporting.

It's the ads, it's really annoying. Go on MN through adblocker and it doesn't happen.
