Please tell me I’m not alone…. Certain sweet treats need to be eaten one way & one only Grin

Aye to my grave believe a galaxy ripple needs to be nibbled in order to enjoy the glorious ripple effect… not chomped down like a wild animal Sad

Eating it in less than 4 bites would be an achievement for me. 🙈

theremustonlybeone · 02/01/2022 23:16

Nibbles all the way for me. I even nibble the chocolate from a Mars bar before eating the rest

Omg I thought it was just me!!!!!
Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 02/01/2022 23:39

Its a bar of chocolate, it comes out of the fridge and dunked in my tea!

BobbieT1999 · 02/01/2022 23:42

Yabu for eating galaxy full stop

Lillyhatesjaz · 03/01/2022 00:30

You are completely wrong a ripple must be squashed on a plate so the layers separate and you can eat them a little bit at a time

Same! And I need a saucer, cake fork and 30 minutes alone in the bath to eat an ice cream Mars Bar. It’s basically dissection
DropYourSword · 03/01/2022 00:33

Bleurgh. Anyone “nibbling” anything would seriously irritate me!

ShippingNews · 03/01/2022 00:36

Nibbling anything just gives me the rage. DH nibbles everything "to make it last longer ....get the full enjoyment ", Ugh ! My answer is always the same - "EAT It fgs !"

CupOfCake · 03/01/2022 00:39

YABU. It's basically a flake and I don't remember much nibbling in the flake advert.

Didn't a ripple have a blue wrapper years ago or did I imagine that?

Pensieve · 03/01/2022 00:40

No to chomping it down but not sure about nibbling a ripple. Sounds a bit messy and like it might start flaking/melting?

Now if you’re talking KitKat or any other layered arrangement, obviously nibbling the choc outer followed by dissecting each layer is the only valid method.

ArblemarzipanTFruitcake · 03/01/2022 00:44

YABU for having a Galaxy Ripple rather than a Twirl or Flake.

But why have cotton when you can have silk? Grin
ArblemarzipanTFruitcake · 03/01/2022 00:48

Cotton every time for me, but I'm working class, not one of your posh types! Grin

RicherThanYew · 03/01/2022 00:49

I think I have serious issues because I remove the chocolate off a Malteser before so eat the biscuit Confused

Pensieve · 03/01/2022 00:50

There’s a thread on “chocs for toffs” already which is more nauseating than Hershey bars. Grin

I prefer dairy milk myself too, the advertising stuck with me though Grin
Pensieve · 03/01/2022 00:51

That’s acceptable, you’re with friends here.

RicherThanYew · 03/01/2022 00:57

It really is easier if they're cold lol stop enabling me!!!

Only way to eat malteasers.
Notimeforaname · 03/01/2022 01:23

I dip them into tea and suck the life out of them.

Ozgirl75 · 03/01/2022 01:28

I also nibble the chocolate off maltesers and did you know that here in Aus it’s different, the choc really adheres to the malt ball so you can’t nibble it off. Sacrilege!

Vapeyvapevape · 03/01/2022 01:36

There are set ways to eat any type of chocolate and biscuit.

Solid chocolate has to be sucked until it melts.
Malteasers have to have chocolate bitten off and then suck the inside bit until it’s squished enough to swallow.

Custard creams/bourbons have to be separated and the cream bit scraped off with teeth.

Anything layered has to be dissected layer by layer.

If anything goes wrong with the execution of the correct eating method, then you have to start again with a new biscuit/chocolate.

I long for the Ripples of long ago. They tasted so delicious!
