To ask if a phone rings once then goes to voicemail

Does it mean you’re blocked

I've had that happens tens of times when trying to contact clients and I very much doubt they all have me blocked.

Or they could be on a call already
Or they are busy and swipe to put the call.to answerphone

I think it means the person is on the phone. If the phone is off it goes directly to voicemail, no ring. If you are blocked, you cannot leave a message so will not go to voicemail.

It might: but it might mean they’re on the phone already or that they decline the call because they’re busy. Mine also does it when I’m driving because I’ve set it up for no notifications.

I doubt you'd get voicemail if you were blocked. I mean if I've blocked someone on my phone I certainly don't want them to have the opportunity to leave me a voicemail.

As the others have said, you can't leave a message if you're blocked.

You can leave a voicemail if blocked. My fil is blocked and leaves me several voicemails a day.

One ring to me would be them declining your call.

When blocked on a iPhone that's what happens, rings once and goes to voice mail or says this person is currently unavailable.

Speak to your service provider about that. It shouldn't be possible.
