Bf and colleague

He worked with a woman the same age for a few months, then she temporarily left for another department. I don't really know her.

There was an event they were both interested in, that I'd like too, he suggested the 3 of us go and told me this.
Apparently he texted her saying this and she seemed to be making excuses.

Once he saw her on a night out and he said, hey, what about that event we said we'd go to? Apparently his other colleague he was with said 'oooh', suggesting he was hitting on this woman (even though he's with me).

Then she said . Hmm.. would your girlfriend mind it?
He had already told her I'd be up for it and was happy to go.
Anyway she texted him the next day saying she 'missed working with him' but would be back soon.

Apparently she returned to the department and apparently said that she had thought it might be 'weird' if we all went to that event.

Maybe she's someone that doesn't hang out with men alone (even though I'd have been going too), or she didn't want me there (even though she'd apparently asked if I was available).

My partner does have some long standing female friends who he has met up with alone but he also invites me too.

Not sure what to make of it, he said it was just a friendly gesture and I do believe this. Just the whole saying it's weird and then telling him she misses him. Not sure what to think

Have you posted this before? It seems familiar

Lavender24 · 30/12/2021 22:29

I'm pretty sure this is the third time I've read this exact post.

WorraLiberty · 30/12/2021 22:30

I had to check the date on this.

The consensus (if I remember rightly) last time was that he's probably hitting on her, or at least that's how she feels.

He did seem a bit needy in your last thread.

SpellBounds · 30/12/2021 22:34

Why do people keep posting the same stuff on new threads Confused seriously Op tell us?why a new thread. I have to know.

Mollypolly2610 · 30/12/2021 22:42

I checked the date too as definitely read this before.

Sally872 · 30/12/2021 22:44

You invite a colleague somewhere once then leave it up to them. Tell him to stop pestering her.

SpellBounds · 30/12/2021 22:44

@Letthebodieshitthefloor come back and tell us!

JorisBonson · 30/12/2021 22:44

Another deja vu moment over here.
