I have an interview as a prison officer. I found the application tests quite easy and got through, however I am not sure how to behave during the interview as I was a nurse before I resigned 5 years ago due to having to care for a relative. I do not want to go back into nursing and this is so different!

Is there not a person requirement in the job spec? I'd guess that as a priority theyd be looking at good communication, honesty, integrity, able to cope under pressure, able to deal with difficult conversations and situations. Always try and find examples of how you meet the person spec.

Id say a wee bit tougher. You are going to have to have a firm but fair manner. Not be easily intimidated. I work in a criminal court and some of the prisoners were wild. Good luck
