To not understand why I am not yet pregnant?

We have been trying for ages. We have been tested and everything is fine (sperm/bloods/ultrasound). I know when I ovulate. I have a regular cycle. We take the vitamins and fertility supplements.

We have tried sex every other day, every day, twice a day!

What more can we do? Why isn't it happening?!

How long is 'ages'?

Infertility is awful, I have medical answers for mine but it must be tough not having any answers at all. Statistically, even for fertile couples, it can take a long time - sounds like you've investigated and are doing as much as you can though, best of luck - with no medical issues in the way hopefully it's just a matter of time.

When you say ages, is that months or years?

girlmom21 · 29/12/2021 13:23

It took us a couple of years. How long have you been trying?

FlamesEmbersAshes · 29/12/2021 13:24

How long do you mean by ‘ages’? Even for fertile couples, it can take a while as it is largely a matter of luck and timing.

This is from the NHS website: www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/trying-for-a-baby/how-long-it-takes-to-get-pregnant/

Most couples (about 84 out of every 100) will get pregnant within a year if they have regular sex and don't use contraception.

But women become less fertile as they get older. One study found that among couples having regular unprotected sex:

aged 19 to 26 – 92% will conceive after 1 year and 98% after 2 years
aged 35 to 39 – 82% will conceive after 1 year and 90% after 2 years

How long have you been trying?

Hellocatshome · 29/12/2021 13:25

I'm assuming as you have had all the tests it has been years rather than months. What are your ages could you have a break from trying. Then try again.

LegoPandemic · 29/12/2021 13:26

For some people it doesn’t happen without help.
It’s possible you would both be very fertile with other partners but not together.
You don’t sound like everything has been investigated either.
There are lots more tests to endure first!

I agree with PP.. Take a break, truly stop for a few months... Stop the pressure on yourselves.... It worked for us
