I have a 4 week old and follow the trust i delivered at on social media. They let partners to the scans from July onwards but it was always one partner when in established labour and then limited visiting on maternity wards.
They’ve just put an announcement out that no more partners are permitted to scans and no visiting on maternity ward. Aside from the level of mistreatment on mat wards which will inevitably sky rocket, is this the start of all post natal services, baby groups etc being suspended again?
My first was 5 months when the first lockdown hit and everything was stopped and it was so hard, she struggled so much with tongue tie that we just couldn’t get looked at as it reattached and then no one would see us, no feeding support and faltering growth, allergies was a nightmare. I do so hope this isn’t history repeating itself.
Have other trusts suspended visiting and birth partners? Makes me nervous
