Need some advice, so my son is 16 months old and I went on my first night out last night and had a few drinks with the girls! I really needed to get out and feel much better for it today, However I must have had about 5 or 6 drinks…I stopped drinking around 2am and my son breastfed at about 5-6pm?

Please tell me I haven’t done him any harm? I’m ready to wean now I have had enough of BF ha

You'll be fine to feed.

You're fine and at 16 months more than right to stop BF if you want to. Get on with life.

  1. You’re fine to feed as long as you’re not in any danger of falling asleep in bed with your child.
  2. Your child is 16 months you can pack in BF.

Of course it's fine!

It's fine don't worry, have a read of Dr Jack Newman for reassurance.

Yanbu to BF- as long as there’s no risk you’ll fall asleep with him you’re fine.
YANBU to still be BFing at 16 months-WHO recommends minimum 2 years. Well done you 👏

If you're sober enough to hold the baby then you're fine to feed.

Your milk alcohol level is the same as your blood. It's tiny, really nothing to worry about.
