Xmas pressie

My oh and I always say what we want for Xmas. This year I said I wanted a smart TV for the kitchen to watch Netflix/prime while doing jobs. I said if it was too expensive or too difficult not to worry and I'd think of something else as my oh is not very good at diy and basically I didn't want it if it wasn't going to work properly or cost too much money. He got the tv, he put it up today and it's a free view tv but doesn't do apps. So I can watch basic cable but not Netflix etc. i haven't said anything as don't want to be ungrateful but it's not what I ask for AIBU?

You can get a Roku stick and plug it in, so you get your apps that way. They aren’t expensive. I’d probably do that

I was just about to say the same, get a fires stick or Roku. They are relatively inexpensive, £25 or less.

Or a firestick especially if you wanted prime as one of the apps? They are £15 on Amazon in the sale at the moment.

If you want it for prime video I'd get a fire TV stick. I think they're on offer at the moment.

You can get the Prime app on Roku as well.
