Careless Covid exposure

I am on a trip with a group of people where I am staying with a woman in a shared room. On the first night she is coughing and then as we are about to go to sleep she tells me that she has been sick all week and that she thinks it is the Covid omicron variant. I asked if she had been tested before coming on the trip with 12 people and she said no but she thought it was fine.
I was shocked that she was so careless with other people’s health and mine specifically. I told her I was surprised she didn’t get tested before she came for the other people’s sake. I asked her to find a test the next day. She said she would try.
I asked the coordinator what options I have. He said I can sleep on the sofa in the main room of the house. I am inclined to do this. I don’t want to make a scene or embarrass the woman but I don’t think it is right that others don’t know about this and that I am being put at risk.
My thought is to say nothing and see if she gets tested. If she doesn’t then I move to the living room and tell anyone who asks why I did it. If she does get tested and is positive I insist that she leave.

I think she should have to leave, don’t you have to do a proper test and isolate until you have the results if you have symptoms, not just lat flow?

OnceuponaRainbow18 · 27/12/2021 13:18

Surely no one is that stupid/selfish

waterrat · 27/12/2021 13:19

She has symptoms she should be isolating while waiting for a pcr. I can't believe this is a trip organised by a company? Or is this friends ?

She needs to leave immediately

RuggerHug · 27/12/2021 13:20

She's embarrassed herself so don't worry about doing that. Bloody idiot.

BeLessMe · 27/12/2021 13:28

Shocked at the coordinators response tbh.

What sort of organised trip is this & why weren’t tests not done before hand?

Imdreamingofapeacefulxmas · 27/12/2021 13:29

Op yes it's selfish. The tests are not 100% but they do work.
It's so easy to do!
It's can't understand the issue with them. If do them very regularly.
