Would you risk it?
It’ll be cooked in puff pastry parcels.

Only one day out of date.

Of course. Don't see it as a "risk" at all to be honest.

Snap. Wouldn't think twice before using it.
Aprilx · 27/12/2021 12:37

I would so long as it doesn’t smell funny.

PumpOutTheBilge · 27/12/2021 12:37

I’d use it unless it smells “off”.

mouse70 · 27/12/2021 12:41

Is It Best Before? Has it been kept in fridge. If so I would use. If worried Heat it very thoroughly in oven

onedayoranother · 27/12/2021 12:47

Yes I'd even go another day (or two).

Cocomarine · 27/12/2021 12:52

And this is one of the reasons that we have so much food waste!
Firstly, is it “best before” or “use by?”
Secondly, do you think the food industry would risk putting on a date that takes you to the wire in terms of food poisoning risk?
It’s fine!

margegunderson · 27/12/2021 12:58

Bought two packs to make sausage rolls. Didn't get round to it until 1 day and 3 days after use by. All fine

OhGiveUp · 27/12/2021 12:59

I would use it certainly. Best before and use by dates are a guidance that's all.
If you make your parcels, I'll be your taster to put your mind at ease 😋

Georgeskitchen · 27/12/2021 14:23

I would use it. As long as it smells OK and is cooked thoroughly. As my mother would always say "we managed perfectly before fridges and sell by dates and we're all still allive"!!

Definitely
