Hi, could anyone recommend a watch for kids that makes calls? Was looking at Kidsnav but poor battery reviews and GPS being hacked has put me off. Cheers

We have an xplora go. It's OK, battery lasts the day, it only lets them call 5 preset numbers which is a bit of a pain but it's quite robust and east to use. Not much chance of it getting stolen as the kids all see wearing them as a chore!

We have bought my daughter a UBEEQUEE which has my husband and my mobiles programmed in only. We can call her and leave messages (voice and text) and she can do the same. We pay about £5 a month for 5 minutes of call/message time. She hardly uses it for that though, it's more so that we can ping her to come home when she's out. The gps tracker works pretty well also, we're pleased with it.
She's 9, and has just started going out to play with our immediate neighbours so it seemed like a good way for us to stay in touch whilst giving her a tiny bit of independence.

My two daughters have kidsnav. They're ok but they don't use them.
I've used ubeequee trackers for my cats and based on that experience, I like them. The cats lost the trackers, but that's not the company's fault!

My daughter has a spacetalk via Sky Mobile.

It's fantastic. Can only call/text numbers we have programmed in (me, dh, grandparents and aunts)

It has a school mode so it essentially goes into aeroplane mode like a mobile but it still allows me to track her to/from school.

It costs me £5 a month and has unlimited calls/texts

Hi we have bought our daughter a Ubeequee watch so we can have peace of mind as she gains her independence. One thing I've noticed is that the allocated number appears to be a Dutch number (+45). I have asked Ubeequee what I will be charged for calling the watch and if any messages sent from the watch count towards her minutes etc. They haven't/ won't reply. Could I ask what your experience of call charges/ watch use are? Just want to have peace of mind that she can contact us and we can call her without running up big bills calling an EU number

Thanks
Paul
