Long story short. Went to doorstep visit friend tonight who is negative for covid, however isolating as her partner is positive. They've been living separately in the same house but staying in separate rooms and not seeing each other etc

Both did a last flow last night which was negative and had dinner together then went back to their rooms.

Picked up present from friend. Didn't even think as we were too busy having a quick gab. Came home and tried too on my wee boy. Was telling my husband it was too wee and he's totally flipped his lid. He's been at the pub and has been shouting and slamming doors about it. No form for this behaviour before. Told him I don't want to have anything to do with him and I'll be staying with my mums for the foreseeable.

AIBU?

Who was trying to wee? Or what was too wee? Is it your husband who's too wee? Is that why he's annoyed?

Ohyesiam · 27/12/2021 00:33

?

Aquamarine1029 · 27/12/2021 00:35

WTF are you talking about?

Username112233 · 27/12/2021 00:35

Sorry, error there. I tried a top on my wee boy (that
My friend had given as a gift) and husband is going nuts as it gave from a house where someone has covid

Well your husband has just been to the pub where he could have caught covid? I am confused.

samwitwicky · 27/12/2021 00:37

Ask him if he'd like the top to isolate 😂

Seriously though, you're not BU. He needs to grow up

Username112233 · 27/12/2021 00:38

He actually went nuts, saying I shouldn't have taken the gift etc as someone in the house has covid. So granted was an error on my part.

However his behaviour was totally uncalled for. I've never seen him like that before.

Oh FGS did one of you ever meet a Scottish person?

OP went to a friend’s house whose DH recently had COVID but both tested yesterday and were negative

OP collected a gift - a top for her son, tried it on him it was too small

When her DH returned pissed from the pub he’s verbally abused her when he found out she’d been round to the house.

So glad so many of you found OP’s situation of domestic abuse amusing.

Anyway OP YANBU, go to your mum’s and stay safe. He sounds awful, is he usually like this after a drink?

LlamaParma · 27/12/2021 00:39

And if he was worried about COVID why is he in a pub on one of the biggest drinking days of the year?!

Aquamarine1029 · 27/12/2021 00:40

Your husband is quite stupid, isn't he?

Username112233 · 27/12/2021 00:40

Exactly Sonia! He's been at the pub for an hour the past 3 days, which I mentioned to him. Couldn't be bothered either arguing with him drunk so didn't push the point.

I'm actually quite upset about it. I grew up where this type of behaviour was the norm and I'm not entertaining it from my husband.

the OP was littered with typos that made it sound confusing, nothing to do with being Scottish Confused
Username112233 · 27/12/2021 00:43

Na Sonia, he's never been like this before. He can go get fucked I'm thinking. He's not one for apologies (we rarely argue to be honest) but this has really pissed me off

FallonCarringtonWannabe · 27/12/2021 00:45

I would sympathise with him if he hadnt just returned from a pub

SoniaFouler · 27/12/2021 00:46

OP, I don’t blame you, he sounds like an unreasonable twat (or at least, his behaviour tonight)

Monty27 · 27/12/2021 00:49

Oh go to your mum's and leave the dick to isolate by himself

Username112233 · 27/12/2021 01:01

I could see his point if he hadn't just came home from the pub as well.

Don't know whether to go stay at mums or give him the silent treatment for a few days. Petty I know but that's how I feel.
